This will be the last newsletter for the 2026 season and before we know it applications will start for the 2027 season. Please check the website carefully for instructions on how to renew your membership for the 2027 season. General Membership Information
You are all very warmly invited to the Winter Party and AGM. We will kick off with drinks and food and will then move on to our AGM. Please put the date in your diaries. Exact details will be sent in due course.

Please be aware that the gate times will be changing one more time this month:
Monday 5 October – First swim will now be at 6.30am and the last swim at 6pm, with gates closing at 6.40pm.
OCTOBER EVENTS
Thursday, 8 October - Coffee/Tea Swim - 10.30am to 11.30am
Casual coffee and tea, with a selection of biscuits/traybakes. All lanes are available for free swimming during the time. A chance for a chat and to meet other SSPC members.
Sunday, 18 October - Closing Party - 2.00pm to 4.00pm

‘OUT OF SEASON’ EVENTS
We are very excited to let you know that Jan B and Carole G, two of our members, will be organising monthly coffee/tea get-togethers whilst the pool is closed.
These will take place at Amble Café, 56 Station Road, Gomshall, GU5 9. Amble Cafe
There is car parking just behind the building and dogs are very welcome.
The café serves roasted coffee from the Surrey Hills Coffee company along with teas from the New Forest Tea Company. You will also be able to purchase delicious cakes and ice creams.
So if you fancy meeting up with your fellow swimmers during the ‘out of season’ do just come along. No need to confirm your attendance beforehand.
The dates are currently set as:
Friday, 30 October - 10.00am to 11.30am
Monday, 7 December - 10.00am to 11.30am
Friday, 29 January - 10.00am to 11.30am
Friday, 26 February - 10.00am to 11.30am
Monday, 15 March - 10.00am to 11.30am
The dates may be subject to change, so please check the SSPC website before you come, as we will display the date for the next get-together there.

This is the last chance this season to get your hands on our SSPC branded swim caps and kit bags. Don’t forget Christmas is just around the corner!! Any of these would make excellent stocking fillers for the keen swimmer!

LOST PROPERTY
Please be aware that any unclaimed lost property will be disposed off on the 1 November 2026, so please make sure you check the shelves before the season finishes.
