Dear 2026 SSPC Member
June must have been one of our busiest months yet!
Everything from a Movie Night, Toddler Splash to Twilight Swim and our monthly Coffee/Tea Swim.
Congratulations to all our raffle winners and a massive THANK YOU to all the wonderful local businesses who donated such generous prizes.
We also want to acknowledge the incredible support from the Shere Village Cinema who hosted the Movie Night for us and who were not only very generous with their time but also very much part of the reason why we managed to raise total funds of well in excess of £3,000.
Could we please remind everyone to always ensure that the gate is closed properly behind you as you leave or enter the pool compound. If the magnet does not engage the gate will not be closed and can cause malfunctioning. So please please please always give the gate an additional tug to make sure it is fully closed. Many thanks!!
JULY EVENTS
The events this months are:
(Please be aware that these events are weather dependent so do check the website to make sure there are no changes to the plans)
Friday, 17 July - Coffee/Tea Swim - 10.30am to 11.30am
Casual coffee and tea, with a selection of biscuits/traybakes. All lanes are available for free swimming during the time. A chance for a chat and to meet other SSPC members.
Saturday, 18 July - Kids Splash - 3.00pm to 4.00pm
Bring your inflatable and have fun in the pool with other kids. No booking required, just come along. Parents/guardians please be aware that you will need to be on-site and normal supervision rules apply.
Please note that a member has approached us to see if we could have a ‘Kids Fun Swim’ for children who are neuro diverse and would find the normal Kids Splash overwhelming and challenging, but who would very much enjoy bringing their inflatables to the pool.
If there is interest in this we would propose to run the session from 1pm to 2pm on the Saturday 18 July with numbers limited and only available to those who had signed up in advance.

Monday, 20 July - Toddler Splash - 10.00am to 11.00am
Bring your bathtub toys and have fun in the water with other toddlers and their parent/grandparent/guardian. Please be aware that there are no qualified instructors/lifeguards on site so every parent/grandparent/guardian must be able to handle their own toddler. No booking required, just come along.
VOLUNTEERING
Thank you again for our amazing army of volunteers who are ensuring the pool compound remains spotless.
Can we please remind you that we have transitioned to more environmentally friendly products and that these all come in refillable containers, so please don’t throw them away when they are empty but instead use the canisters, which are located below the bottom shelf in the broom cupboard, to refill them. MANY THANKS!
