General Membership Information
Shere Swimming Pool is open seasonally from April until mid-October
Membership Types
For 2027 the cost of membership remains unchanged:
Single Membership: £70
Family membership: £140
Family Membership:
- Covers one or two adults and all children who are still under 19 at September 1st of the membership year
- All family members must reside at the same address to be eligible for a family membership
Single membership:
- Covers one adult swimmer
Important Points to Note:
- Local residents have priority for membership. To facilitate this, locals have exclusive access to join / renew from 1st January until 28th February each year
- Local Membership is defined as residents of Shere, Peaslake, Holmbury, Gomshall, Abinger and Albury Parish
- Applications are processed in the order they are received, so we urge you to apply as soon as possible to secure your membership for the 2027 season
- Remote membership is defined as anyone residing outside of the local area outlined above
- We require full membership to ensure the financial viability of the pool. Therefore from 1st March, if we have not reached capacity, we will accept applications from those who were remote members in 2026 or 2025
- All memberships are only for a single season
- There are no automatic renewals and you must apply to renew each year
- Renewal reminders are not sent. Please make a note of key dates for your diary:
- 1st January: Local residents join / renew
- 1st March: Remote member renewals (if space allows)
- Membership applications are made online - those unable / or needing help to complete an online form should contact the Membership Secretary.
Hardship Fund
Shere swimming pool is a valuable local amenity, and we do not want anyone to be excluded from enjoying the pool based on affordability. We do everything we can to keep membership fees low, but if you feel the cost is beyond your reach and would benefit from support with payment, please reach out to us. All enquiries and applications will be treated in the strictest confidence. Please be aware that only residents can make an application to this fund.
