Dear Members
The leaves have started falling, so a special thank you to all our volunteers who are sweeping the pool compound. Not an easy job at the moment with acorns and leaves falling continuously. But so important as we need to try and keep the acorns out of the pool where they cause problems with the filtration system.
A very big thank you also to everyone who has come forward to fill our empty volunteering slots. It was very much appreciated and we are all covered now.
August was a busy social month with a Twilight Swim, followed by a Coffee / Tea Swim and an Inflatable Madness. Thank you to everyone who supported these events. Great fun was had by all!
Please note that the pool closing time will be moved to 8.10pm as of Monday 1 September (so the last swim will be 7.30pm) and will then move one more time on Monday 15 September to 7.40pm (with the last swim at 7pm).
EVENTS
September will be the last month to enjoy a full set of events. Let’s hope the weather is kind to us! As always no need to sign up for any of them, but do keep an eye on the website’s homepage, just in case we need to cancel/move the date of the event.
- Friday 12 September - 130am to 11.30am Coffee/Tea Swim
- Saturday 13 September – 3pm to 4pm Kids Inflatable Madness
- Saturday 13 September – 8pm to 9.30pm Twilight Swim

BOOKING SYSTEM
Could we please remind everyone that if you are unable to take up your booked swim you need to cancel it as soon as possible out of courtesy to your fellow members. There are a number of members who check the availability page carefully and take up swims on a standby basis as soon as they become available. So even if it is only 30 minutes before your booked swim, you should always cancel your booking if you cannot attend for any reason.
